Our History…
Where it all began
Andrew and Natalina’s journey began in Sydney where they owned a successful hairdressing salon. However, despite their achievements, they were sacrificing essential things like spending time with family and maintaining a work-life balance.
It was then when Andrew got a job offer from a digital marketing agency specializing in hair and beauty salons. The catch was that the job was based on the Gold Coast, and he had to relocate in two weeks.
Andrew’s bold decision to take up the job offer and move to the Gold Coast paid off. Within six months, they found the perfect buyer for their salon, and Natalina joined Andrew on the Gold Coast.
The Transition!
Andrew’s passion for the property market grew stronger after he moved to the Gold Coast. He was fascinated by the real estate industry and spent a lot of his free time researching and analyzing the market trends. He knew that he would soon need to purchase a new family home, and this gave him an opportunity to put his knowledge to use.
The Process
Those who have attempted know buying property can be a daunting task, especially when you have a family. There are many things to consider, such as schools, universities, local transport, and shopping options, among others. Andrew and Natalina understand the challenges that come with finding the perfect home for your family.
Andrew and Natalina have a deep understanding of the Gold Coast property market, and they attend countless open homes and auctions to monitor the market and observe the behaviour of agents and buyers. Through their observations, they can identify the active front-runners and use this knowledge to negotiate the best deal for their clients.
The Light Bulb Moment
Sometimes, all it takes is one conversation to spark a light bulb moment. For Andrew and Natalina, that moment came on Australia Day when they were chatting with a mutual friend who had recently purchased a property. After comparing the market, the two properties, purchase experience, and prices, they discovered that their friend had overpaid and had been taken for a ride.
Their friend had become frustrated with the process of making offers, losing at auctions, and attending countless home inspections. He eventually made a ludicrous offer on the property, which the vendor accepted. This story inspired Andrew and Natalina to become professional buyers agents and help people avoid similar mistakes.
The Game Plan!
Andrew and Natalina’s passion for helping people buy the right property led them to obtain the necessary accreditation and licensing to become buyers agents. They understand that the process of buying a property can be stressful and time-consuming, especially for those who are time-poor.
Our Property History!
Andrew and Natalina’s extensive property history speaks volumes about their expertise and experience in the industry. Over the past 12 years, they have purchased land, designed and owner-built homes, sold properties for profit, and bought more properties. This experience has given them a deep understanding of the Gold Coast property market, including the latest trends, developments, and pricing.
In the past 12 months alone, Andrew and Natalina have purchased two properties on the Gold Coast for themselves, which demonstrates their commitment to the area and their belief in the local property market.

FAQ
Is a Buyers Agent Worth It?
For many buyers, using a buyers agent can provide significant value throughout the purchasing process. Property is often one of the largest financial decisions people make, and having someone represent the buyer’s interests can help reduce stress, avoid costly mistakes and improve the overall outcome.
A buyers agent can assist with:
- accessing off-market and pre-market opportunities
- researching suburbs and property values
- conducting due diligence
- negotiating with selling agents
- helping buyers avoid emotional decisions
- saving time during the search process
In competitive markets, many buyers use a buyers agent to gain confidence and clarity before making a purchase.
How Much Does a Buyers Agent Cost?
Buyers agent fees can vary depending on the level of service, property type and purchase price. Some buyers agents charge a percentage-based fee, while others work on a fixed-fee model.
At Empire Buyers Agents, we believe transparency is important. Our fee structure is discussed upfront so buyers understand exactly what is included before moving forward.
When considering cost, many buyers also look at:
- negotiation savings
- avoided risks
- time saved
- access to better opportunities
- reduced stress throughout the process
For investment properties, buyers agent fees may also have potential tax implications depending on the buyer’s circumstances.
What Does a Buyers Agent Do?
A buyers agent represents the buyer throughout the property purchasing process.
Unlike a selling agent, whose role is to achieve the best result for the seller, a buyers agent works exclusively in the buyer’s best interests.
This can include:
- suburb research and strategy
- sourcing properties
- accessing off-market opportunities
- attending inspections
- reviewing comparable sales
- negotiating price and terms
- coordinating due diligence
- assisting through to settlement
A buyers agent helps buyers make informed decisions with less stress and greater confidence.
Can Buyers Agents Access Off-Market Properties?
Yes. One of the key advantages of working with a buyers agent is access to off-market and pre-market opportunities.
Off-market properties are homes that are available for sale without being publicly advertised online. In many cases, sellers prefer a quieter sale process or agents selectively introduce properties to qualified buyers before launching them to the broader market.
Because buyers agents work closely with local selling agents, they may gain early access to opportunities that buyers searching online never see.
In competitive markets, this can provide buyers with a significant advantage.
What Mistakes Do Buyers Make in Today’s Market?
One of the most common mistakes buyers make is purchasing based on emotion instead of strategy.
Other common mistakes include:
- overpaying due to competition
- failing to conduct proper due diligence
- buying in the wrong location
- misunderstanding true market value
- underestimating renovation or maintenance costs
- relying solely on online estimates
- rushing decisions due to fear of missing out
In changing markets, understanding property value, negotiation strategy and long-term growth potential is more important than ever.
Is the Gold Coast Still a Good Place to Invest?
The Gold Coast continues to attract strong interest from both owner occupiers and investors due to lifestyle appeal, population growth, infrastructure investment and ongoing interstate migration.
Many buyers are drawn to:
- coastal lifestyle
- strong long-term demand
- limited land supply in key areas
- major infrastructure projects
- relative affordability compared with Sydney and Melbourne
Like any market, not every suburb or property performs equally. Successful investing often comes down to selecting the right asset in the right location and understanding long-term fundamentals rather than short-term trends.
Why Use a Buyers Agent in a Competitive Market?
In competitive markets, buyers often face:
- multiple offer situations
- limited supply
- emotional decision-making
- pricing uncertainty
- fast-moving campaigns
A buyers agent can help buyers navigate these conditions by providing:
- market insight
- property analysis
- negotiation expertise
- access to opportunities
- objective advice throughout the process
Having professional representation can help buyers make more confident and informed decisions during fast-moving market conditions.
Can a Buyers Agent Help Interstate Buyers?
Yes. Many interstate buyers use buyers agents to help purchase property remotely.
A buyers agent can assist with:
- researching suitable suburbs
- inspecting properties on the buyer’s behalf
- providing video walkthroughs
- coordinating building and pest inspections
- negotiating with agents
- managing the process locally
For buyers unfamiliar with the area, local knowledge can be extremely valuable when assessing streets, growth potential, flood overlays, infrastructure and overall location quality.
What Makes a Good Investment Property?
A good investment property is typically selected based on long-term fundamentals rather than short-term emotion.
Factors many investors consider include:
- location
- land value
- owner occupier appeal
- infrastructure growth
- population demand
- rental demand
- scarcity
- future resale potential
Strong investment properties often appeal to both owner occupiers and tenants, as this can support long-term capital growth and demand over time.
How Do I Avoid Overpaying for Property?
Avoiding overpaying starts with understanding true market value rather than relying purely on asking prices or online estimates.
Buyers can reduce the risk of overpaying by:
- reviewing comparable sales
- understanding local market conditions
- assessing property condition carefully
- avoiding emotional decisions
- having a clear negotiation strategy
- understanding long-term value drivers
In competitive markets, it can also be important to understand how agents manage offers and buyer psychology during negotiations.
A strategic approach and thorough due diligence can help buyers make more confident purchasing decisions.
